Eva is the author of three books:  Leaving Resurrection: Chronicles of a Whale Scientist; Many Ways to Say It: Poems; and Into Great Silence: A Memoir of Discovery and Loss Among Vanishing Orcas.  She blogs about her encounter with breast cancer at Alaskan in Cancerland.  An associate professor of creative writing, she teaches in the Low-Residency MFA program at the University of Alaska Anchorage and lives in Homer, Alaska.
