Have you heard of the Awesome Foundation? Created in 2009 in Boston, the Foundation distributes a series of monthly $1,000 grants to projects and their creators. The money is pooled together from individuals who want to support the creation of Awesomeness in the world. For the month of December 2012, The Better Bombshell is the recipient of the Seattle Awesome Grant! They featured an interview with us in a blog post, which you can read here.

HER KIND was launched in May 2012 as a blog by VIDA: Women in Literary Arts. VIDA is a national literary organization seeking “to explore critical and cultural perceptions of writing by women through meaningful conversation and the exchange of ideas among existing and emerging literary communities.”

In October 2012, HER KIND featured a conversation between our contributors Heather Fowler and Elisa Lazo de Valdez. These incredible women met through this project!

The popular Alaskan blog 49 Writers featured a Q&A session with Charlotte Austin, Editorial Director of The Better Bombshell.

 

 

 

 

On October 28th, The Better Bombshell was featured in the Polish art zine Lost and Found Magazine. (Scroll through to page 211.) Editorial Director Charlotte Austin wrote the piece, and the drawings were done by Artistic Director Siolo Thompson.  The piece is currently only published in Polish, but the English translation is due soon. We are pretty excited to have a presence as far reaching as Poland!
